Dr Stoll and Dr Dave,
I doubt you will remember me, I posted asking advise in 1998 and you both helped me so much make a decision I was terrified of and I wanted you to know the outcome years later.
I have had really good success with this surgery, almost no pain/spasms unless I over stress my neck, feeling returned to my fingers and only tingles when I am really tired or over use it a few times a year. I guess the worst thing has been that I can not tuck my chin all the way down. This makes the kids think it is very funny when mom folds towels, forgets I can not do that and the towels drop to the floor.
Still work as a social worker and have been able to keep up with my job and family, something when I first posted here 6 years ago I thought I would never be able to do. I think following post op your recommendations and from your book has contributed to that recovery. Thank you both again so much and I wanted you to know I have not forgotten and appreciate you were here when I needed help.

Actually, I do remember you. That you were a social worker like my wife was the spark.
I'm very happy to hear that things have gone well.
Please post again on the subject in the future to let us know how you are doing.
Thanks again for the kind note!

Thanks, Cheri.
I appreciate the feedback and am glad to hear you are doing so well. I hope you have continued your SR, stretching and either Alexander Technique or Feldenkrais so you are less likely to have a recurrence. Problems like this tend to get worse over time.
This is the time to continue learning even though your symptoms are no longer driving you. You can learn more when you are not having so many symptoms. Remember the adage: "Fix the roof while the sun is shining."
Let us know how you are doing over the years.
