Re: Prolotherapy

Is there anyone with experience of chronic low back pain,
specifically the sacro-iliac joint, who has suffered for
around 5-10 years and recovered to an active life
after prolotherapy (sclerosant therapy)?

Please contact me!

Is there anyone with experience of chronic sacro-iliac pain
who has had treatment (prolotherapy) prior to conception,
during pregnancy, and at childbirth?

Again, any relevant discussion to me would be great>

The pain is driving me crazy, and keeps me lying down
and virtually housebound.

Does anyone know a good, experienced prolotherapist
in this country ... England.

Thanks, Ille Wyatt

Hi, Ille.

I, myself, had this same problem from the ages of 30 to 40. Before I learned to resolve my problem, I was in a back brace, taking heavy doses of pain medication, muscle relaxants, antidepressants and sleeping pills. I had 4 different specialists seeing me who were prescribing the drugs. My neurosurgeon told me my only option was extensive surgery and no guarantee of benefits. I was a lot further along the path you have been on than your note indicates you are.

THEN, I learned that my medical school training had missed the entire concept of what best resolves any chronic condition. We allopaths are great at short term problems like injuries and infections but we are hopelessly ignorant of the complex thinking neded to reverse or prevent chronic conditions like yours.

Within 6 months of learning to practice skilled relaxation and eating a whole foods diet (see archives and the homepage articles, of this 'site, for information), ALL of my symptoms were gone, I was off all medication and I have not had recurrence to this day (I am 63). It was partly this personal experience that convinced me to become the pioneering expert in complementary medicine that I have been.

The first thing you need to do is educate yourself about WHY people have these kind of problems so you can choose wht you are willing to do to reverse it. The information on this 'site (see above), along with the references recommended, are what you need to make the next step.

No one in his/her right mind would even consider that your condition was due to a "prolotherapy deficiency'! In other words, even if it DID help, the benefits would be temporary unless you did something about your causes.

Once you have the above information under your belt, if you still have questions, write again.

Walt
