I have an associate who's wife has been diagnosed with a prolapse disc. Spinal fusion has been advised but I feel sure there must be alternatives to this invasive proceedure.
Does anyone know of any UK based organisations he can go to for advice??

Hi, Dave.
Your associate's wife can start by educating herself on this BB. Have her spend a few hours on the archives about spinal problems and THEN, if she has questions, she can ask them on this BB.
She can always go have the surgery but she would be wise to understand her alternatives first. If she is not willing to learn, both of us are wasting our time. Remind her that: "To a hammer, everything looks like a nail!"
