I have just had an x-ray showing my thoracic vertibrae T8 to be approx 25% compressed at the front and T7 approx 15% compressed. This was caused during a trip on an olympic 4 man bobsleigh -not one i shall be reccommending!
A surgical osteopath has suggested I lie on my back for a couple of months and also to consider an operation to fuse the vertibrae.
From what I have gathered from others, on your bulletin board, this seems like a last resort
Do you have any advice - I am seeking a second opinion and really dont want surgery unless necessary
many thanks
Paul

Hi, Paul.
The approaches described in the archives, about spinal problems, are your best bet---you can always go ahead with the surgery: Rolfing, Hellerwork, SR & Alexander Technique OR Feldenkrais. See the glossary for any unfamiliar terms.
Let us know how you do. You cannot heal the fractures this way but there is NO DOUBT that you can greately reduce your symptoms.
