Anyone with FMS should have an MRI to rule out Chiari malformation.

However, those with Chiari malformation should now know that an alternative to surgery is available.

Practitioners using the St. John Method of Neuromuscular Therapy have a new technique available developed last year in a research study at Henry Ford Hospital in Michigan. NMT8a Atlas-Axis mobilization can release Chiari Malformation without surgery.
