Hi Dr.Stoll,
I wrote to you a few months ago decribing a long list of symptoms that you diagnosed as dysautonomia and LGS. I purchased a used copy of 'The Relaxation and Stress Reduction Workbook' for $1.00 (broke) and have been doing SR twice a day most days since then. I have also made some changes in my diet but have not implemented all the changes I plan to make yet. I'm finding that making changes over a period of time with my diet is working for me. I'm snacking on fresh vegetables and fruits all day long, eating very little meat and have cut out all fast food over the last few months. I've noticed a dramatic difference in my health from all of these changes. The daily hives and rashes are now once a week and not as severe when they do happen. My bowels seem to be working better (still something not quite "right" though). The daily pain in my upper and lower abdomen is now reduced to an occasional twinge. The color in my face is a lot more even. I was having frequent flushing, sweating spells followed by chills and ice cold hands. I have only had one episode of cold hands in the last two weeks (and I was stressed that day) and one flushing episode. My acne is clearing up and healing. The inflammation in my hands has gone down...neck pain almost gone. For quite a long time all of the above symptoms were quite SEVERE. Some days I have been so sick that I could barely move my body and get out of bed. I lost a lot of weight and generally looked ill to myself and others. Friends were coming up to me several months ago with concerned looks on their faces asking me if I was alright. Over the past few weeks a few friends have commented on how good I look which affirms to me that I am on the right track. I am only 29, so to have people telling me that I looked sick and emaciated when only 2 years before I looked healthy and to have no answers from a DR. after countless appts. and tests was scary to me. I suddenly have the energy to exercise again and have started doing so a few times a week. My head feels like it's coming out of a fog. I feel more mentally clear and alert than I have in two years. I have gained 15 pounds which puts me right where I should be with my weight. Is it possible for the changes I have made to be making such a dramatic difference in only a few months? If so I am thouroughly amazed! The results I have seen so far are encouraging me to "step it up" again and make more improvements in diet and exercise. I think my next step is to give up sugar and flour. I want to see if that makes a difference too. Thank you for this site.

Good for you, Rachael, you deserve your success. The body is wonderfully made and can heal if we treat it with a little care which is what Walt has stressed.

Thanks, Rachael.
Wait till you see how you are doing in a year or so! These kinds of changes were routine in my practice even this early. Keep up the good work, the best is yet to come.
Don't stop learning.
Namaste`
