Hello,
Having a lovely time with SR, but have a question! Recently I have seen some CDs that say they help induce Alpha, Theta or Delta (each is sold separately). Is it possible to induce Theta and Delta state?! If so, what are the benefits vs. alpha? Or is this a marketing gimic?
Thanks, Melissa

Hi Melissa,
Delta CDs are supposed to put you to sleep, which would be great for insomnics if they work. I got a few of this type of CD. I like silent SR so the sounds were a distraction for me and certainly didn't help me fall asleep. Probably they work for some people either get into an alpha, theta, or delta state. But if you're having a lovely time doing SR just the way you're doing it now, why change to something else?
Best wishes,
Happygal

Hi, Solace.
Depends upon what you are trying to accomplish. The Arica Foundation has cataloged the different functions of each.
