Dr Stoll and others, please help me, I have suffered from social anxiety for years now, along with this, I have had problems with OOS/RSI, Irritable Bowel, and lately chronic TMJ, I am a dedicated to meditation, but have these horrific spasms in my face from the TMJ, and now my meditations have turned into a battlezone with the spasms, I also do yoga, alexander technique, go to osteopaths, and see a counsellor, I feel like I am doing everything in my power to help and heal myself, but im losing the battle.
I have the SR book, i have done also progressive relaxation for a long time, i have had biofeedback done, which says i am relaxing, but it is like my nervous system, straight away, just goes straight back into a heightened state, no matter what i do, these muscular spasms are totally soul destroying.
PLEASE help me
thanks

Go down the list of congested liver symptoms below. If you are experiencing over 15 of these symptoms, you have a congested liver problem! To reverse a congested liver, you must perform a Liver Flush. EFA (essential fatty acids) will help with your depression/anxiety disorder as will take a supplement called "VitaCel-8". To help reverse your TMJ/Stress problems you desperately need to start taking Liquid Magnesium - 3X a day with meals! You are extremely deficient in minerals so taking a liquid colloidal mineral supplement would also improve your health! * S.H.A.P.E. *

The most accurate test for detecting a diseased (not congested) Gallbladder is a “Hide-A Scan”. Gallstones will not be detected on an x-ray or ultra-sound scan, until they are the size of a golf ball.
Old Sage doctors believed that when a patient was seriously sick, regardless if they were experiencing signs of cancer, heart disease, an autoimmune disease, etc., that the “Root Cause” was a congested or blocked Liver and Gallbladder, which occurred three to five years before the onset of their illness. By performing a simple Liver/Gallbladder flush, until all the stones are eliminated, this health problem can be reversed! * S.H.A.P.E. *

Does the TMJ happen when you sleep and hard to stop ?
I used to get bizzare dreams when sleeping because of an
injury that caused some brain damage and the only way my
sleep was peaceful was with the TV on which probably
distracted my mind so it didn't go where it wanted to or
couldn't stop itself.
I used to get anxiet attacks after another injury and I
found that taking salt calmed me down. I had to take it
just to function in the heat so my system must have been
out of wack and dumping all in my system. I have found
simple cures for a lot of things and had to since Dr's
didn't have answers. I got lucky in finding what I did and
by accident and just trying things. I always used a lot of
salt so I just tried it to see what it would do. You have
to be your own detective.

I believe from reading your post that your best bet would be to contact Dr. Stoll for his health coaching services. It's impossible for anyone, including him, to provide much help in an open forum without the specifics of a person's medical history. Or find a naturopath near you.
What's your understanding of wellness? What's your nutrient status? Stress level? Magnesium? You need a professional to guide you!

Since you said you do SR, and your nervous system seems to immediately go back into the heightened state, perhaps you should look into Openfocus, one of the SR methods mentioned by Dr Stoll.
I've done a ton of research about it, and am going to look into starting it.....the benefit of the Openfocus method is it teaches you to incorporate alpha brainwaves into your *daily life*, not only just when you're doing SR
its www.openfocus.com
definitely take a look at the site and read about it in detail

I have a biofeedback done at a pain clinic where i live, sometimes i meditate for hours, and then as soon as i get up to standing and moving about again, it feels like nothing has changed, i seem to snap straight back into this sense of anxiety,
I have looked up info about centrepointe and the openfocus, thanks for the links, its just that, the kiwi dollar doesnt match up to the US, AND pound, and we end up paying over double, for any international products,

Have you used deep tissue massage or ever looked into Rolfing to help the TMJ? I had the series done when I suffered from several chronic miseries and it was very good. I noticed this approach is mentioned in Dr. Stoll's vast TMJ archives. A Rolfing link down under...

You are very welcome. Don't pay too much, I think he has more. I just
bought the exact item from him (haven't received it yet) and bid for
several days until I actually "won" it at $30. If you don't get it, sign up to
have ebay notify you for any entries under the name "Centerpointe."
That's how I was notified about this one and the one I bought. It's the
first thing I've ever bought on ebay. I can see how it can get addicting.

Hi Minnie,
I had a similar situation to yours. Keep doing SR! It was and still is a big help to me.
The other thing that helped stop the muscle spasms and constant muscular tension for me was (and still is) stretching. I had to stop doing all exercise because it made my NS worse, and instead I focused totally on stretching all the muscles in my body to help relax the NS. It worked. I did 30 minutes of stretching a day, beginning with the places that hurt the worst. It was not long until those muscles started easing up, and took less time to stretch, and then I started stretching new muscles until I was doing full-body stretching.
It took about 1-1/2 years until my whole body got pretty loose from doing the stretching, and the SR really enhanced the relaxation of my body. I no longer have a tight body, and now I only have to stretch every other day. I still do SR every day.
Since it worked so well for me, my recommendation for you is to go get a book or two about stretching and just start stretching. Do a little each day. Take it slow. Stretching should never hurt so be easy with it. If you do it consistently (surely twice a day would be all right, but at least once a day), you will start to ease the burden on your nervous system. Each part of the NS affects the whole NS, and as some parts start to get quite relaxed, your whole body will relax.
You can get a good book about stretching from www.stretchingusa.com. "Specific Stretching for Everybody" is good, the book "Active Isolated Stretching" gives more detail.
Yoga doesn't hit all the muscles. I found Yoga was too limiting. You need to start learning to listen to your body -- it will tell you where to stretch next if you pay attention to it. You may need to consult professionals for ideas about how to stretch certain areas.
Also I have not heard you talk about diet. If you have hypersensitivities to certain foods, they can keep your NS aroused. Try working with diet if you haven't done so already.
Also read the book, "The Highly Sensitive Person" by Elaine Aron. In it she talks about ways to keep one's stimulation down to help the NS stay calm.
Best wishes,
Happygal (Certified Massage Therapist/Holistic Practitioner)

looksd like you have a lot of good advice for the spasms and such.
Social anxiety is often the result of indiagnosed learning disabilities-we don't all process information the same, and we become anxious from repeated feedback that we are missing something. Coping strategies can be taught by people who diagnos learning disabilities.
