SR -- Five Months and Counting

Posted by Kim [346.57] on February 08, 2004 at 16:05:50:

I'm at the end of five months of twice daily SR. I had intensive bracing which had grown into heat sensitivity (early dysautonomia). My face continues to break out in a very muted fashion however when there is wind or direct heat. However, the wart I had is STILL gone and the facial flushing after exercise and warm drinks is all but gone (happens maybe three times a week opposed to three times a day). I can't wear makeup yet (or faciallotions or sunscreen) but can use a light facial wash. Here is the biggest news. For the past nine months, if I went on a jog or a walk in the sunshine, I would have horrible bumps along my jawline and hairline, as well as chin. They were not pus-filled but rather almost rocklike. It would take weeks for them to go away. I finally realized that they had the personality of a virus. I read the archives and took an intensive dose of Ester C (14 days worth) and would you believe I have run three days this week (The first time in months) and there have been no outbreaks! My immune system was so down that my body couldn't rid itself of that virus without the interferon kicked up.

Back to the skin. Two months ago I wrote about the flushing and rosacea like symtpons I was having. Dr. Stoll informed me it was the detox. I began to use milk thistle, lots of water and once again, Dr. SToll was right. NO more detox sytptons.

I have grown to love SR. I have also added an hour of yoga a day as well. It's amazing how much better I feel. I figure that I am due to release about two years worth of stored chronic stress. I'm giving myself a full year of this discipline before my skin heals. Thank you Dr. SToll!

.

I want to thank you Dr. SToll.

I too am about to take up yoga. My sister was just saying that you can work up a good sweat in a yoga class (what a shock!), and that is what has motivated me to take a class. I love to sweat! :) As well as the other benefits of yoga, this one has got me excited.

Have you considered taking EFA's if your skin is still breaking out? Flax oil and EPO i have found personally the best for acne.

You are definitely on the right track with SR!

Also, have you been on the wholefoods diet? If you did that as well as regular SR, you would find your healing would really surge ahead.

Sounds wonderful.

I PRAY I can have a success story such as this one with the SR. So far, all I feel is much worse but hopefully in a few months, I can thank Dr. Stoll as well.

Congratulations.

Yes, i have been on EFA's and diet for the duration. I must reiterate that this is not "acne." It is a combination of hive like pimples. Nine times out of ten, they are gone the next day or almost gone.

Steven,
Keep it up. There were many days when I came out of SR more anxious! I assumed I did SR incorrectly. But the next few hrs, I'd experience a calm sensation. This took me quite a while to adjust. Feeling agitated after SR and slowly calming down. If you keep it up regularly, you'd see a lot of changes (expected & unexpected). I had a lot of muscle twitching during initial days of SR. Not anymore.

Iv'e been doing SR for about 2 months now. First month was all progressive relaxation which was a complete waste of times. Next 3 weeks was autogenics, where I would have twitching (which I could deal with), head getting so hot to the point of almost faintint (could deal with that during session), dizzyness (could not deal with too well). But these side effects not only occured during the session but throughout every day and night, which made it unbearable. I switched to brainsync tapes for a week but it had a very bad adverse reaction in my ears, with dizzyness as well. I felt like I was always in a cave, in that every noise was painful lous to my now sensitive ears, plus there always felt like a wind or dagger in my ears. I switched back to AT yesterday cuz I couldn't handle that anymore.
