I just got back from a Linage of Light program that Yogi Desai had in Salt Springs Florida and wow it was fantastic;
Every morning 55 of us got up and did postures on a Tennis court outside for 1 1/2 hours and what energy it produced, hum can still feel it; I think meditation in movement is powerful and they certainly come from that place; First you move into the posture without forcing or comparing and move to your edge and then you relax and feel every part of what the posture has done and you can feel the release of tension; We ate raw foods [some soups] mainly to detox, and then many of us at the retreat went on a 2 day fast with lemon water,cayenne pepper, fresh ginger and maple syrup and it really opened many folks up to feel more vibrations-wow;
This was a week long training and this with going off again to the yoga teacher training [for the second half of training] in Sept. my body will certainly be renewed, i certainly can feel the difference already; I'm hoping to be back on this site now, between taking a few Florida vacations now on weekends; I hope all of you had some R&R and having a nice summer;

What you describe in getting into your asanas; that is the way you are SUPPOSED to do ALL asanas! Never forceful!
ohhh it sounds like a great experience though - the unity of it sounds wonderful alone :)
I am so happy that you are taking this opportunity with yoga - if more people did, they would understand it's healing and energizing powers. :)

Hi Terri-Lynn. Your excursion sounds like it was wonderful. I did yoga for 10 years, got sick had to stop and now am starting back up again - it's weird to not have the range of motion and flexibility I used to have, but that will come in time - I did have a weird swelling in my feet and ankles from stretching and though it did not hurt, it took some time for the swelling to go down - anyway, I am the person who started a discussion with you a couple weeks ago and since then have continued juicing and stopped eating all wheat (I feel infinitely better) - I also started the tapes and am really enjoying the inventory...my best wishes to you.

Hi, Life can be busy can't it, hum, here it is 7.30 at night haven't even eaten dinner and just now getting on this site-ha-wow, i don't know how people an be bored in life. This is why it is important to take care of oneself some before the day just goes and we can get lost in it-ha;
Thank goodness one can move through pretty much everything, doing it a little at a time. Miricles happen when we keep our focus on solutions, what is the next solution to take, not lets add up this problem-ha-oh the mind is somthing if we let it raddle on and on; I call it stuck consciousness [going around in circles], victum mode, when one wants the results, but never takes a step towards the solutions. [sometimes it is called comfort or buying into the age thing, whatever it is easy for all of us to do;] I went to the chiropractor today and he said wow what are you doing your looking great, and i said yoga and lots of it and i'm excited about getting up at dawn to move towards integration with all of who i am-ha!
They gave me a new name-ha sand script name, i like it, who knows if i will use it very often, but i thought i would share it with all of you-Nalini-hum, feels nice in the heart;
