I'm confused about what it means to "certify" your SR. Can anyone please explain this to me?
Thank you,
Sienna

Hi Sienna,
It means to go for biofeedback testing to make sure that you are actually reaching the alpha brainwaves and producing the "relaxation response" in your body. The testing can tell you for sure that you are doing the practice correctly... and will get the results.
Best wishes,
Jan

Heart Math, an organization has a computer exercize that your hooked up to that can really let you know this also, very fun Dr. Leonard Smith and his wife use it and love it; I use the biofeedback meter often and practice, it makes a sound when you are not in an altered state; Radio Shack use to carry some of these, but now i get them at the www.wellbeingranch.org

if I go to Radio Shack, exactly what would I ask for? does this require a computer close by to hook it up to? Thanks!

I am all for technology but also old school; when you feel good that is good for you.
What DID the Tibetans do years ago before radio shack!

Thanks, Michele.
The Tibetans thought little of spending a lifetime perfecting their technique! We westerners are much too impatient to do that and biofeedback GREATLY shortens the training period.
Hope this helps.
