Progress Report

Posted by PaulC [1041.1617] on June 20, 2006 at 07:27:10:

I have not been posting a lot these last few months as I
am busy with renovations. I do have a few good things to
report and a couple of queries.

First, I have cured Hypothyroidism. Now I must say that I was never "diagnosed" with it....but my body temp was averaging 97 and if one believes Barnes I was hypo. As well, my T4 was at the very bottom of the range and my
TSH was climbing a point a year for two years....
How did I do it...sad to say a combo, so I can`t really
be sure.....but try all three things....SR, mercury
removal and EEG neurofeedback..My temps are now 98.6!!!!
I will post my plasma reading in a few weeks but I imagine they are in a better place.

Second.....I have cured IBS.....yup....it IS in the mind
and a bit of talk therapy and a few months of Alpha uptraining.....voila...no more IBS.

Walt, I do have a couple of thoughts on some of my testing though. I have been doing SR for a year and can
only truly sink into it after taking Panax Ginseng...which as you may know has some of the attributes of Valium on the CNS. I am slowly able to have my alpha and theta at the same level (as measured on an EEG brainwave machine)with eyes closed as we do
Alpha/Theta therapy. I do believe one can alter one`s
brainwaves with thought...but what about actual neurotranmittor deficiencies. All my plasma reading
show low amino acids......and when I take Acetly L Carnitine, L theanine or 5HTP I feel better in a day or
so.....Each one has a slightly different positive effect on me

My question is this.....can the mind actually correct
these deficiencies....If so...by what mechanism is it acting...Is it improving digestion....is it causing the
liver to process these better....
I am sure you will say it is all these....but I am curious if only to try to understand which one I should focus on. My liver readings are all normal in conventional terms. A GSDL test showed low chymotrypsin
but not much else.

I still have lower than normal energy and mild anxiety
so I am looking at where to focus next....I keep being
tempted by liver cleansing....but really wonder about the theory. I WILL chelate after the final amalgams are
out next week....

What direction should I concentrate on......

Thanks, Paul.

In response to your first question: Yes. Two references: "The Second Brain" by Gershon (MD) and "Vibrational Medicine" by Richard Gerber, MD.

Let us know what you learn. In MY opinion, it would be the height of arrogance if we thought that these were the only mechanisms by which SR could influence brain chemistry. The best is yet to come.

Have you tried combining imagery with your SR?

Walt

I am not quite sure what you mean by imagery, but the
neurofeedback specialist does have me visualizing calm
experiences in my life and positive thoughts.....

I must say that my one experience with energy healing
was quite odd...I actually reacted extremely negatively to it and experienced a panic attack....Can you make any
sense of this.........

Hi Paulc,

Sounds like the energy work flushed out some "negative" energy or restimulated a previous trauma that still needs to work out, and that is what you experienced. Try finding a different energy worker, one who can help you slow down the experience or help you process it. Or if you like that person, go back and talk about it.

Sometimes unusual things come up with energy work. Whether it seems positive or negative, it is releasing trapped energy. I've had some *pretty unusual* experiences on both sides... and they are always healing, although not always comfortable to go through.

Best wishes,
Jan

Great news, Paul. I've been following your posts over the last couple of years both here and at Healthyawareness (you're also PaulCanada, right?).

I cured IBS too. Mine was a combo--I needed more fiber in diet (in the beginning, I was almost zilch w/ fiber--discovered it when I started keeping a food diary to see which foods set me off), but the biggest thing was definitely in the MIND. I had to talk to myself as I was leaving the house about my anxiety and how unnecessary it was, etc. (IBS used to kick in at inconvenient times--"nervous stomach diarrhea"--when out and about). It eventually worked and now I hardly think about it (and it used to rule my life!).

I think the mind can correct deficiencies (and cause them in the first place). The way I'm coming to understand it, every thought we have creates chemicals in our bodies. Naturally, none of this is conscious--we can "want" good health til we're blue in the face, but if our other thoughts about life/ourselves, etc., are causing any type of "resistance" within ourselves, well, that's where the problem comes from.....or something like that. I think where one of the benefits of SR (meditation) lies is in the fact that during that time, we're NOT THINKING--therefore we are not creating disturbances or resistance in our mind about anything. This "down time" allows our natural healing abilities to shine through.....much like a critically injured patient might be kept in a light coma to aid in healing.

Regarding liver cleansing--I think there are other ways to help the liver cleanse itself. Look around--are you a pack-rat in any way? Get rid of clutter in your life (if, in your mind, you want to keep things because they're a part of your past or because you might need them in the future, this might translate to your body regarding "things" that need to be cleaned out). Very much the same with old emotions and keeping them stuffed inside. I'm very much this way (on both accounts)--maybe that's why my liver has problems now with processing chemicals (mild MCS). I'm working on it.... A friend just had great success with the Sedona Method, so I'm going to try it. She's in her 60s and wasn't doing it for physical health, but she said after spending a month doing Sedona that she hasn't had so much energy in years and felt light and "airy".

Regarding imagery in your followup post--after visualizing your peaceful setting, try imagining (ala daydreaming) things the way you want them--project them onto a mental movie screen. See yourself with the perfect health you desire, doing things you love doing, etc. This is telling your subconscious that THIS is how you want to see yourself. A good book along these lines is "The Silva Mind Control Method" by Jose Silva--if you haven't already read it.

Wishing you continued great success!
