I have come to the conclusion by this board that stress causes a majority of symtoms and diseases. I just don;t understand how it can have that bad effect on changing our bodies and do the things that it does to us.Can someone explain please. I have been thru H-- and back. Sorry for the language. I was always told I was not a happy person and I never looked happy. My weight has goes up and down up and down. Now it is going down and I don;t know why.I always have all these weird symtoms so I get anxious and have to find help for it to find out what it is.I have been diagnoses as having anziety, multinodule thyroid started at menopause at 42.even with all the hormones I have tried they throw me into a loop!! Even natural ones. So could stress of caused this hormonal thing? Even though the blood tests show I am in menopause. I had muscle testing done on me and she says this will work than that will work and nothing works. I don;t feel any better. Just recently it was muscle tested that its my parathyroid gland. She does not think I am digesting(was put on enzymes for that) and not utilizing calcium. Cause when I try to function or just move my heart goes papitating. And I feel alot of internal shaking. I also get low blood sugar spells and last week it she said it was the blood sugar this week its the gland. Had another woman tell me I am full of parasites cause of my constipation. I did stop her program cause I always had bad reactions to her herbs and gotten to believe how can one muscle test over the phone. But I did gain weight. But bowel function worsened. She also said I had hploria and I did have a doc check that it was ok.So she was wrong there. I feel like I spend and spend and spend monies(can;t really afford to)But am desperate on feeling well. Nothing works.
Now I have elevated bilburrin and I think it is cause of my bowel function. Also some urea test(to do with the kidneys was low)and one kidney is larger than it should be and one smaller than it should be. Also elevated choselotorl. I am just falling apart at a young age! My dhea is a little low and progestorone is low I know. But scared to take over the counter dhea cause of the risk factors of it and progestorone creams and pills don;t work.I take supplements multi-e-c-b-cod liver oil-cal/mag-enzymes-alfafa-epa-primrose oil. Lots of them.
I don;t feel the urge to go period-I feel fatigue-not all here type feeling-no appetite at all. SO confused on where to go from here. WOuld SR help all this even the test results I have had?? It is hard for me to do SR. I don;t know where to start or how to begin.
I have over done laxatives and this scares me. Muscle testing fiber does not test. Which I find it hard to belive. I get swollen glands alot and have allergy problems alot. But don;t have candida. I hurt all over and feel heavy.I am tired of doctors! And yes I have posted a few times about my experiences and yes Dr Stoll I don;t belive they know what they are doing. I thought alot about trying triphala to tone my colon but yet the muscle testing shows it is to tight. But when I take laxatives I can feel it stretching inside me and the poo drops and just sits there. I don;t get it.Sorry this is so long-Trying to cover everything. Am very confused what are good supplements to take. Maybe I should stop everything. I don;t know. I thought about calling a clinic in Canada where a woman there is suppose to be very good she also recomends shaklee and she would do tests even uses smokey labs. But the cost is very scarey and money is an issue. I just want to feel normal. I get told different things on what to take and to the point where I don;t know where to start.
I have always wondered about parasites. Thought about taking black walnut-but read somewhere on here it caused one boy to have kidney failure cause leaky gut was not treated first. Am sorry am rambling. I need prayer I can afford that. I have been praying but still no light at the end of the tunnell. I like to be able to enjoy life for once. And feel normal! Tired of standard process supplements tired of supplements period especially when i don;t feel any better. Thank you for listening! I just wish I knew what was wrong with me. Bless you!

“STRESS”
(How It Affects The Intestinal Tract)

Lets see if I can’t help you to understand how Stress affects your intestinal tract and how it’s keeping your Leaky Gut inflamed. Our intestinal tract is constantly working and rebuilding itself due to the digestive process – therefore, it requires a more constant flow of healing blood in order for it to stay healthy. When we get nervous or get caught-up with the cares of everyday stressful problems (and you know how often this happens) the blood flow to the intestinal tract gets constricted and over a period of time – the intestinal tract becomes chronically starved for blood. When this is allowed to occur, the intestinal tract then becomes inflamed, which is the start of your leaky gut problems. Type-A personalities (over achievers) are great candidates for the Leaky Gut Syndrome. Therefore, you can acquire a leaky gut problem from living a stressful lifestyle as well as from consuming antibiotics, steroids and anti-inflammatory drugs.
Unresolved feelings of hate, anger, abuse or feelings of unworthiness will also constrict the flow of blood to the gut. Another intestinal health hazard is the “Flight or Fight Response”. This panic response automatically kicks in when the subconscious mind senses a threat to our life – however, we don’t realize that it has kicked in because it’s an internal response. Our subconscious mind doesn’t have the capability of distinguishing between a real stressful threat to our life and the stresses of everyday life that we must all endure in this day and age – therefore, many individuals are experiencing this panic response on a daily bases but some are experiencing it more than others. When this panic response kicks in, our blood flow is redirected or pulled away from our intestinal tract and is then routed out to our extremities to help us prepare for this on coming threat. When this panic response is allowed to continue on day after day, as it does in some individuals lives, the intestinal tract again becomes chronically starved for blood which causes the gut to become inflamed (Leaky Gut Syndrome).
This is why it’s so important for each of us to find a way of reducing our “TOTAL STRESS LOAD” on a daily bases. By just practicing some form of relaxation technique for – 20 minutes – 3 times everyday, we can “REDUCE” our total stress load and improve our health. I really believe that stress reduction is the “DETERMINING FACTOR” as to – will you regain your health or not? You can do all of the colon cleansing, detoxing and rebuilding of your body that you want too but if you don’t include some form of stress reduction – your intestinal tract will never completely heal. * Rick *

A very short explantion of this could be this. Hormones regulate all functions of our organism. Stress affects hormones to a large degree. If you put these two together, it might become somewhat easier to admit a possiblity that stress can effect the whole body.

Hi, Anonymous.

Don't feel bad! These well established concepts are still beyond the ken of the vast majority of practicing physicians as well!

Chronic stress-effect storage does not "cause" everything but does at least greatly aggravate every chronic condition known to man.

Start by reading Dr Selye's classic: "The Stress of Life". If that is not enough, read Dr Pelletier's classic: "Mind as Healer, Mind as Slayer". Let us know what you learn.

Walt
