Dear Dr. Stoll,
I need your help! About a year and a half ago, I experienced a severe "panic attack" while driving. Every day since then I have not felt right. I have seen several doctors and psychotherapists who do not know what is wrong with me and debate whether or not what I had was an actual panic attack. I have the shakes almost every morning. I stopped drinking coffee for a long time which made no difference. Now, all I have is about a half cup or so a day. I have dizziness/wooziness, headaches, visual problems, alot of the time feeling like I have a sinus problem. The day I had the attack I also felt this way-thought I was having a stroke. I get jolt like sensations above my eyes. I have fatique but do not sleep very long at night. I do not drive. I have tried in the past but always end up with anxiety, etc. after a while and have since pretty much given up on it. I do have anxiety attacks, which no doctors can pin point any "trigger" that is causing them. There is no rhyme or reason to my symptoms. The anxiety may not accompany any other symptoms, and I have all the other symptoms with no anxiety. I felt better six months ago than I do now. I have seen several alternative doctors, healers, OMD's, and kinesiologists. One feels I have a yeast imbalance and parasites, but does not know if it is causing all my symptoms. I have been tested neg. for Celiac's, but found I had an overgrowth of bad bacteria in my intestine. Six weeks of antibiotics, and feel no better. I am now on Can-Sol, Olive Leaf, and Psyllium. Not feeling a difference, but have only been on for a little under 2 weeks. One doctors feels I have a T3 imbalance with my thyroid, as well as some autonomous function with it. I am on Cytomel, and feel no better. I am very frustrated as I feel I have exhausted all options, I can not work, or even do enjoyable things. I am a prisoner in my own home. My symptoms come and go, but can be continual all day. Doctors did find what they call a peritoneal cyst on or below the level of my left renal vein. No one knows if this is causing any problems, but doctors do not seem concerned about it. It is about the size of a walnut. Do you have any suggestions of what I can do? I live in the north central part of KY. Can you recommend any good doctors? Thank you for your time and help!
Missy

Stop drinking everything accept for spring water and you "MUST" drink half of your body weight in ounces (oz.) of water everyday. You have a severe dehydration problem, which is why you are experiencing dizziness. You also need to detox your colon by taking an herbal colon cleansing product for a period of one month. You also need to take an anti-fugnal/anti-parasite supplement like "ParaCease" after detoxing your colon for two weeks. I'm also guessing that you have a congested liver and gall bladder problem so you should concider performing a simple liver flush. Until you do these things you will not regain your health because without internal detoxification of your elimination organs, no healing can be accomplished. * S.H.A.P.E. *

Hi Missy,
Your condition might have more than one cause, so consider various possibilities. Check out all of them. Several of the possible causes might be addressed by doing the Three-Legged Stool. Read the article "How to be Healthy" (link) on the homepage of this website) for more information.
Best wishes,
Jan

Hi,Missy.
Wish I were there. You really need a cutting edge complementary physician to sort this out. It cannot be done without serial hands-on examinations by a "doc on the spot". See the holistic practitioner archives for how to find the best ones closest to you. In the meantime, be collecting copies of ALL of your medical records to have in your hands when you see this professional. See the Health Coaching protocol for what kind of history you need to create to also hand to the consultant.
If it were not for the KY Medical Licensing Board, I WOULD be there.

Thank you Dr. Stoll. Boy, I wish you were here. We need more like you around! So..I guess you do not have any ideas of what my problem or problems are. I have seen several holostic practioners who seem to have an idea, but none of their treatments have been helpful..thanks again!

Wanted to tell you that I was given the name Steve Schumaker by someone here. I do not think he is a "MD" maybe a kinesiologist. But he is supposed to be very good and keeps up to date on all therapies. Do you know who he is?

Question/Comment for SHAPE and others: If all these things are true on this website about anxiety/panic being caused by physical conditions, diet, parasites, LGS... then why do so many people that try medications along with Cognitive Behavior therapy get better? You should look into that also Missy.

Well, let me tell you I have done a lot of research and have found that no one seems to know what causes anxiety/panic attacks. That is to say, I don't think it's the same for everyone. I have talked to lots of people who have tried therapy and have gotten no results. Books and conventional doctors will say there are other causes of anxiety/panic, such as thyroid, yeast imbalance, chemical exposures, etc. I know people who have tried every "mental" medicine and therapy in the world, and haven't rid themselves of anxiety. So, you see, I feel there are different causes and it can be different for different people...for some it IS mental, others physical. You can't just assume someone has a mental problem just because "doctors" cannot figure it out. I have been through a year of therapy, and my psychiatrist does not believe it is (completely) mental. She specializes in anxiety and panic attacks, and has actually experienced them. If therapy and meds worked, them everyone would be free of this ailment.

Yes, Missy.
He is in Louisville, isn't he? I have nothing against him but believe that you need someone with greater depth in multiple disciplines, starting with being an MD first.
Consider Heather Morgan, MD or Terry Shappell, MD in Ohio. They MAY be the best you can find close to you. Use the resources.

Thanks, Missy.
EVERYONE agrees that there are many causes in every case. All we have been saying on this board is that some of the commonest ones ARE known and emphasizing alternatives for those any individual can do something about. Even dealing with some of the causes will make the rest of the causes affect one less--as well as helping any conventional remedy work better. See the home page about "The Modern Medical Interpretation of Stress" for the basic concepts.
