Somatization?

Posted by Glen on March 07, 2001 at 16:40:19:

What is somatization disorder? I have always had these fluky, non-specific symptoms(muscle and back aches, abdominal pain, chest pain, etc.) that seem to get worse the more I think about them or when I'm stressed out more than usual. They sometimes lead me to go to the hospital where I inevitably am told that there is nothing wrong with me, and always lead me to mild hypochondria until the symptoms go away. I couldn't find anything on this site about the disorder and wanted to learn a little more about it

Hi, Glen.

This is just a "cop out" word to help the doc keep from saying to the patient "this is all in your head".

Remember, though, that ulcers are caused by this exact same process and people die from ulcers, etc.

This board has been discussing (for many years) how to reverse such problems with SR.

Once you have digested the archives for subjects like stress, SR and hypothalamic storage of stress-effect, if you still have questions, write again.

hi glen

there is only nothign wrong with you in their point of view bc they lack the knowledge/tools/sensible point of view to figure out what is wrong with you. the sensible point of view that they lack is that health is feeling good. they think it is just absence of major, well defined disease.

the great thing about this is that you dont NEED a doctor fot this kind of health. thats what this place is all about. there are simple methods that you can apply to take over and cause your symotioms to melt away. read my words in the glossary under diagnosis. lol ;-)

on the other hand, if it is too hard for you to take charge of yor own health-- and it is really hard especially for those who have been fooled into beliebveing its a docotor's place-- then you can actually find the RIGHT kind of doctor. but first take a few of the simplest, easiest steps.
