Hello,
Would you tell me if Tinea Versicolor could be a cause of,
or in relation to, psoriasis, in any form?
Thank you.

Hi, Larry.
No known direct relationship.

Hi, Dr. Stoll:
You said "no knoqn direct relationship". Is there anything that would occur to cause the tinea versicolor to "mutate" and cause or exacerbate a severe case of psoriasis?
Thanks.

Hi, Larry.
I was just rrying to save myself some typing since this information is in the archives about those subjects.
The only connections I know of are that they are both related to the immune system and both related to stress-effect storage.
Nothing about "mutating strains"--one is a fungus and the other is a reaction to intermal mechanisms.

Thanks, Dr. Stoll...
I checked in the Archives under Stress and there is only Stress Management listed. I did not see anything in the listings with a subject line of either tinea versicolor or psoriasis, so I could not check what you said back then. There are quite a few listings, and I could be there for hours.
Would you mind giving me a little more detail on how to find your information in the archives?
Thanks, again.

Hi, Larry,
I KNOW there is a lot of stuff in the archives. I wish we had the money to make it easier for you. This is a free service and we are operating on a shoestring.
Go to the home page about stress. I have elected to archive averything about stress under stress management--probably not the best choice. You could go, perhaps, more directly to your specific question by accessihng the TV and the psoriasis archives.
I am trying to deal with an average of at least 150 requests for help every day and the archives were created to save me from gathering this kind of information for each person over and over and over again.
Please understand.
Walt
