Hi,
Quick question... I've been doing SR for about 5 months, started whole foods last month and exercising.
I am feeling better overall, more energy, etc. but can't shake this brain fog! My brain fog is worse the day after getting NAET treatments for my allergies. There is no day really that I haven't had brain fog - I thought it would go away with SR and better diet and exercise but it's still hanging around. Does anyone have any idea why I still have the brain fog and what I can do about it? THanks, Mindy
(I've had the brain fog for about 7 months) I do have Grave's disease, asthma and am a Hepatits B chronic carrier

Thanks, Mindy.
How did you certify that your SR was actually working? Have you been doing it at least twice a day as recommended (Not before exercise and not within 2 hours of bedtime?)
Remember that each leg of the wellness stool multiplies the benefits and not just adds to them.
Brain fag frequently takes a full 3-6 months of all 3 legs.
So much depends upon the individual's genetic makeup and the lifestyle they had been living before starting to reverse it.
If you want more individual predictions, you would need to see someone like Roger Williams, PhD, Abram Hoffer, MD, PhD, etc. The predictions I can make from here will help the vast majority of people. Some will get results just from what you have done for this period of time.
Hope this helps.

Hi Mindy,
Sounds like food allergies to me. My guess is that now that you're feeling better, you are able to feel what your body is experiencing from foods that are troublesome for it. You might consider eliminating wheat and dairy from your diet.
I have food allergies, and for me, they usually manifest as either needing to go to sleep, or brain fog.
Best wishes,
Happygal

Hi Mindy,
One other thought. If you're liberal instead of perfect on the WFD, it might be a reaction to eating refined carbs.
Best wishes,
Happygal

How are the NAET treatments going? Have you noticed a difference?

Yes, I've noticed a difference. I'm doing the basic treatments to just get me through this period but I am doing SR, whole foods diet and exercising for my long term health. Even though I still have this brain fog and some other minor things, I am able to function and spend time with my friends and family again although not full board like I use to. NAET isn't a permanent solution for me - it's just a temporary bandage until I have 6-12 months of the 3 legged stool under my belt! My husband has given me a certain amount to spend and once that money is gone for NAET, it's gone.
I highly encourage anyone to try NAET as a temporary solution. Hope this answers your question, Mindy

I haven't had any refined carbs for months. I eat only whole wheat bread and I make my own whole wheat tortillas and stuff. I have been really good on this WFD. It's very hard though since my husband is very much a processed foods eater. But, knowing how I will feel if I eat anything that is processed keeps me away! THanks, Mindy

Thanks Happygal,
I have cleared those allergies with NAET. I have cleared all the basic top ten items and so I shouldn't be reacting to any of the foods I'm eating. I am wondering if there is something going on with my fillings. I haven't cleared silver, lead and gold. I noticed that my heart started racing today when I ate some hot whole grain cereal. I know I'm not allergic to the ingredients. Since it is summer, I haven't eaten that many things that are hot.
Does silver tend to leach out of your fillings when you eat something hot?
Thanks, Mindy

Hi!
I verified my SR with the THoughtSTream. I have actually been able to relax to the point that the percent in change of skin resistance has gone down more than 500%. I was beginning to wonder if I was SRing too long. I would get a relaxation response and then spend 5-10 minutes there. I also wasn't sure if I was trying to relax too deeply too fast. I spent some time reaching alpha but used CD's to get me to deep theta without allowing my body to adjust. Later I read in a biofeedback from the library (Awakened Mind?) that you shouldn't force your body to relax to a lower level before it is ready. What are your thoughts on this? THanks, Mindy

Mindy,
I will bet my reputation that you are getting a lot of traces of refined carbohydrates in your diet!
You will need a copy of Beth's Book, and begin reading the fine print of everything you eat, to see that. Once you are perfect for a couple of weeks, let us know how you are doing. Your story can be an abject lesson to many BB participants.

Thanks, Mindy.
One cannot "force" SR of any kind. What is THoughtSTream?
Your skin resistance change says to me that you are doing SR correctly and that probably you are going to need the combination of the PWFD and aerobics, along with twice a day SR, to get over this. Remember the 3X3X3 rule.

Thanks Walt,
Thoughtstream is the biofeedback unit I am using to verify SR. It's a GSR that I got for about $100.00

Thanks, Mindy.
Can you give me their email address so I might get the specifications?

Walt,
todd@syneticsystems.com
Put this in the subject line: I have a technical question...
Hope this helps, Mindy
P.S. Your right, I am actually still getting some refined carbs. Found out the bread I thought was 100% whole wheat is not so 100% whole wheat!

Mindy,
Link "does not match any systems".
