Hi all,

In case anybody missed this over at Mercola's:

"An astonishing 94 percent of rats who were allowed to choose mutually-exclusively between sugar water and cocaine, chose sugar. Even rats who were addicted to cocaine quickly switched their preference to sugar, once it was offered as a choice. The rats were also more willing to work for sugar than for cocaine."

sure, sugar gives them energy, and cocaine gets them high. How would they want to work??)) Bet they would work Real hard for cheese, and pick it over eanything.))

As you will see if you read the article, they actually compared cocaine with saccharin. From the article:

"Virtually all rats preferred saccharin over intravenous cocaine, a highly addictive drug. The preference for saccharin is not attributable to its unnatural ability to induce sweetness without subsequent caloric input because the same preference was also observed with an equipotent concentration of sucrose, a natural sugar."
