I have a client that is in drug rehab. She is now consuming 3-4 cups of pure sugar a day. Today she started throwing up. Could this be the cause. Is she having DT's from sugar. What is the best way to handle this?

Hi, Deb.
It is like the old joke:
"How many psychiatrists does it take to change a lightbulb?" Answer: "Just one but the bulb has to want to be changed."
In MY opinion, sugar addiction is the hardest addiction to break. IF you are convinced that she WANTS to feel better, Get a copy of Beth Loiselle, RD's book "The Healing Power of Whole Foods" and get started. Do not even try until she has this book under her belt and STILL wants to be "changed".
Call (800) 870-5378.
Let us know what happens.
Walt

Incredible! Some people have a hard time drinking that much water per day!

Of course that assumes that the reader is intelligent enough to understand what they've read, and then disciplined enough to do what they've learned.
Unfortunately, that's pretty rare these days, as I'm sure you agree.
