Vitamins

Do you still recommend taking Multigenics Vitamins? I've been taking 6 per day for 10 - 15 years. And, I wonder if I should still be taking them? Or, something better? Or, none at all? I hear they make you fat... I have gained weight--probably 30 lbs over the past 15 years. I still call and order them from the "factory."

I never belived in vitamins or any suppliments for myself because they didn't do anything and I didn't feel I needed
them. After a very serious chemical injury I went looking and found a few out of Many I have bought that have helped a lot though they don't do a thing when not needed and don't prevent symptoms that they cure unles taken within 30 min of when they are needed. Most things have worked like that for me at least so I can't see taking something if it doesn't do a thing so I rely on taking them when needed or just before. I would hate to take something when not needed because I thought that if they worked sometimes they should
be good all the time and find out they did some damage.

People tell me that things take Months to show a result and they Can't in 15 min like I have experienced. They can take what they want but I look for things that produce results Fast. Then I Know they were needed.

The secret to health (and ideal weight) is fresh whole foods diet, exercise, and a less stressful life-style (if you have to live with stress, practice SR as Dr. Stoll suggests). No supplements can solve health/weight problems for the long term, I think. And nothing can replace the important roles of diet, exercise, and low-stress life.

Hi, Ruby.

I am still taking mine.

Listen to bing.

Vince's insistance upon instant benefits means that, using the same thinking, smoking is not damaging because it takes many years to show the damage. Different bodily functions take different lengths of time to show benefits as well as damage.

Walt, My dad took vitamins all the time though he
ate everything and especially what they said to
and it didn't seem to help him in the end but that
was probably his stoping using salt which did the
damage. I would try things that he suggested
especially when living on my own and trying to
decide what to buy but if they didn't taste great
they sat. Not having any limits to my functioning
or problems with my health I didn't think that I
needed to take anything to keep my health and
figured that if it ain't broke, why fix it since
what if I Damaged It which my dad did. After my
injury that took my health away I went Looking for
answers and didn't buy what an eye Dr friend said
about my vision problems that came on while I was
smeling the irritating fumes that caused all my
problems, that since I was 44 that I was at the
age when your vision goes but Not loosing the
central and it geting blurred when a yr before I
tested like somone half my age.

I have found Many things that solved problems
but I don't keep taking them if I see no more
need or increased benefit and some things that I
had to take when I did something to strain my
body, like zinc, weren't needed when one brand of
MSM made it not work or needed and then the MSM
wasn't needed. Now should I keep taking them
because I once did ? I only take the brand and
Glu/Chon when I get a twinge in my knee like I
did last night and the cod oil that I needed 13 yrs
ago hasn't helped anything since it fixed that
knee pain and even didn't help when it was helping
if I took it till the day before I strained my
knees but did 15 min after taking it.

I just can't see taking something Unless I see
some benefit or in the same way in stoping
something that doesn't bother me. I smoke and did
all through my chemical sensitivities but I
Couldn't use a lighter but then some people can't
use matches.

About smoking I wonder if it will do me in but
my grandfather smoked till age 102 but a hospital
killed him 2 yrs later. Since my injury I chain
smoke when doing anything that takes concentration
even though it interferes with the job but since
it helps concentration it must help me get the job
done and I tried Ginko and that does nothing for
me and the smoking might help me in normal
mental function but it takes a Lot to motivate me
in the daytime at least, like an emergency.

I smoke while I lift weights but then I used to
when playing tennis if it was a slow game like
doubles and even the smokers thought it odd but my
best friend, tennis partner did the same thing.

I wasn't planning to quit taking vitamins, but rather was asking if you know of some vitamins that are better... last time I heard, you had not found any vitamins better than Metagenics.
Thanks, Ruby

True, Ruby.

EXCEPT that I now recommend whole food concentrates until health has been restored.
