Hi Everyone,
I'm a healthy 33 year old female. Have been taking Women's One a Day for about seven months but after educating myself on this board, wondering if this is sufficient in my optimum health for my age - also starting to think about starting a family so know that folic acid is key here- per the reason for my taking women's one a day. Looking for supplement ideas - don't want to take 5 pills a day kind of thing but wasn't sure if any of you had any other ideas as to a good well rounded supplement for health and well being.
Thank you!

Walt and others have suggested a "Garden of Life" product called Perfect Food. Doing a little research in the archives could tell you a lot and the EFA or essential oils topic found in the Articles on Health in the header seems to be important. Personally I read a government report from years ago giving the breakdown of nutrients in the vegetables we consume. It had become hugely deficient. Because of soil depletion we can no longer assume we are getting the nutrition our bodies are calling for. Add to that our inability to absorb due to the LGS (leaky gut syndrome)we are pretty much forced to supplement. There are ways to find out your personal deficiencies. If you search around the Glossary and Symptoms and D Q R G (at top of page)there is so much information.

Hi, Rachell.
If you are taking supplements to stay well, I agree totally with Sally.

the pefect foods and the living multi. Since we do have our fair share of vegies, I'm thinking the multi would be my best bet but over 6-9 capsules a day!! it says to take depending on nutrutional need but I'm not sure what my "need" is?? Can you point me in the right direction? I would hate to overdo it.

Hi, Rachell.
I do not think you CAN overdo this kind of supplement (except for exhausting your pocketbook).
I would use a good healthy dose for a month or so and if you did not notice any benefits just stop them. If you do notice benefits, gradually (changing the dose avery couple of months) reduce the dose until they begin to disappear and then increase them slightly and continue that dose as maintenance.
