Hi Chris,
Mixed tocopherols means that the Vitamin E is from a natural source and is not synthetic. Yes, you can find it at a health food store.
I don't know about the foods high in iron. You may be able to do a search on the web.
Best wishes,
Happygal

...and d-alpha tocopherols are the natural form.

Thanks, ~CT.
I believe Happygal is correct.
D-alpha CAN be derived from natural sources but it has to be refined because it does not exist, isolated, in nature. Natural vitamin E is MIXED.

check out "Ultimate E" from A C Grace Company. i believe they offer the least processed product you'll find.

Actually synthetic vitamin E is a mixture of 8 isomers of alpha-tocopherol, only one of which is the RRR-alpha-tocopherol found in nature (and the most bioactive). The best forms of natural vitamin E are typically sold as mixed tocopherols because they contain the most potent RRR-alpha-tocopherol, plus a mixture of other tocopherols (beta, delta and gamma-tocopherol) and tocotrienols that are also beneficial to the body.
