just wondering, as long as there's a post about copper, what people's opinions of copper bracelets are. Do you absorb copper through the skin? Many people wear copper bracelets to help arthritis. I bought one for my husband. At first, he would only wear it to sleep, because he didn't want to wear jewelry at work (fear of other guys making fun of him), but he feels the thing is helping him and now wears it to work as well.
He speculates that the coolness of the bracelet helps him.

Stuart,

I have yet to see a case where copper supplements have helped anyone. I guess there will eventually be someone if I live long enough.

Low copper is not a good thing to have! I've had it before - possibly from megadosing Zinc! A holistic tested my serum copper (Cu) for it once and told me to take copper and it did help.

Megadosing Zinc can lower copper and in general, that's why they should be taken together - because Zinc is one of Cu's main antagonists!

Also, megadosing vitamin C can lower copper! They recommend taking no more than 1500 mg of Vitamin C daily to prevent it from competing with Cu.

Copper protects the heart and helps build RBC.

Copper supplements will improve your Cu levels if you're not taking too much Vit C or Zinc.
