standard process supplements

do these have enough of the nutrient (it appears that since it is whole food, its very small dose) to make much of a difference? thanks.

Hi Dan,

Most supplements are not even tested for their
stated nutrients.
The seller would be nuts to make guarantees that he could not back up.
They are a food and not a medication,
so they do not have to be anything more than they
appear to be.

I understand Ron. This particular manufacturer (standard process) uses only whole foods but their nutrient contents is very low on the label. i am wondering if this is even worth buying.

Hi, Dan.

Standard Process is one of the most highly regarded nutrient companies in the business and has been so for at least 50 years!

The only problem is that one needs help from a highly trained Naturopath or Chiropractor (in the use of SP) for the most effective use. There are printed protocols for deciding which products will do one the most good (available at your Naturopath or Chiropractor) but that is a poor second to actual professional help.

Hope this helps.

Walt

Walt:

Do you know how I would find a naturopath or chiropractor that works with the standard process supplements? i was able to find a website that sells them directly but it sounds like youre saying self prescribing these would not be optimal?

when I looked up Food Sourced vitamins, one I read about said they Had a Food Source in the products to make them More absorbable. Just figured I would take the multi vitamins I have, With Food to make them More absorbable.

I don't take anything unless I feel some benefit, and I have had Many with different vitamins, minerals, and other supps. The multi I have, I think from Walgreens, has relieved pains, and opened my sinuses, but not always. I have had many interesting things happen since my chemical injury, that seem like absorption or utilization of nutrients, and I had been severly food and chemical sensitive after, and some suppliments to work, had to be taken in a narrow time window, if taken before, to prevent or delay the things they helped.

With me it seems like I have to take the suppliment, or some of them, by itself, to either get it into circulation, or to be absorbed. When I had a need for salt a few yrs before my latest injury, no matter How Much I put on food, it didn't do anything, but taking it straight with water did. I believe I was having heat prostration from dumping salt. It was Right when the warnings about using salt came out around 80', so I was bucking the accepted belief at the time which continues, though I just read, if Salt Sensitive, you can Still have the problems Said to be caused by salt, Even with Normal BP.

Dan,

You could ask SP for a referral list in your area.
