Hello, and thank you for your service here!
Last year i was in a car accident..six months later i started to develop sore "thick" feeling fingers when i woke up in the morning. The fingers are not discolored, swollen or anything like that. As the day progresses, the thick feeling lessens.
I had testing done and tested neg. for rheummatoid athritis. I was diagnosed with tendonitis, actually, which i apparently have in other areas...like an all over bodily "shock" reaction to trauma, it was suggested.
Is the thickness sensation fluid build up or inflammation oriented?
I exercise, stretch my fingers and wrists out all day..beyond that, do you have any recommendations?
Thanks so mcuh
Cynthia

Hi, Cynthia.
Your experience is a perfect example of someone who already had total body bracing BEFORE the accident. The accident provided the "straw that broke the camel's back" and precipitated you into your present chronic tendonitis/fascieitis.
Both are caused by the same things that eventually cause arthritis (of all forms). This has been discussed in depth for years on this BB. Please save me typing by taking the few hours it will take for you to read the entries in the archives about these related conditions.
THEN, if you still have more questions, write again.
