I've had recurring tendonitis in my forearm and my hip (bursitis) - I've recently had a friend suggest accupuncture. Anyone have any experience with accupuncture and its effectiveness?

Accupuncture may help tendonitis but Prolotherapy cures it!
www.prolotherapy.com. It's been around for over 40 years. It is completely free of side-effects.

Mike,
I had severe, and consistent, tendonitis in both of my forearms for over two years. After trying several things to cure my condition, I finally stumbled up a sports medicine doctor who recommended accupuncture in addition to my physical therapy.
The combination of the accupuncture and physical therapy CURED my tendonitis. The reason why you do the physical therapy is to strengthen the muscles to prevent further injury.
Accupuncture has been around for over 3,000 years. It is completely free of side effects.
And,no, I do not work for the accupuncture industry.
Hope this helps you,
aT
