tinea versacolor

I gave up five years ago about trying to find a cure to this disease. However, this summer the spots seem to be especially bad. I have read about everything on this site and my question is, are there different treatments for this disease for white spots vs red spots. I wonder this because my dermatologist a few years ago called them two different things. thanks a lot

Hi, Sam.

This is in the archives:

The very most important thing for stubborn cases is to be certain to buff off the dead skin every time you bathe (while washing and while drying).

The next most important thing is to apply the remedy correctly and for at least long enough.

The last most important thing is to not judge the effectiveness until the following year of tanning tans the spots.

Hope this helps.

Walt
