I was diagnosed with TV last week by a dermatologist. I was given an oral medication as well as a topical lotion. I have read the archives about the buffing and exfoliating. Since, my back has become extremely dry and the TV has scabbed over on some parts. Is this a reaction to the medicine or is it from buffing too much? I would also like to know, how will I know when it is gone since my back it tan? I am also using Selsum Blue as a body wash in the shower. I gave my back a light skin peel to take off more dead skin cells and a mud mask to pull out the impuritites. I realize I may be doing too much, but I have the time. Is it OK to do what I am doing?

Hi, Mary.
Buffing too much! Buffing does not cure this. It only prevents it in the future. Light buffing with EACH bath is the secret.
