My son was diagnosed with Lichen Planus almost three years ago. He still has lesions on his legs that are stubborn. I would like to know any suggestions you have. They gave his injections inside the larger ones that made them go away but some have come back and i need to know what we can do other than apply topical cream.
Thank you.

Hi, Jeaneen.
To our best knowledge this is an autoimmune condition and will repond to what all of these kind of conditions respond to (see the archives). What they have been injecting is cortisone and the topical stuff is cortisone too. This is putting black tape over the warning lights and not very dangerous unless that is ALL that is done and this goes on forever.
Let us know how he does.
