Dear Doc
I have white spots on my front and back torso and is diagnosed to be tinea versicolor. My lower back looks especially ugly. The good thing is, after using nazoral shampoo and taking oral medicine, the fungus are gone.
My doc told me it is going to take a couple of months/years for the colouration to return to normal, and if I am unlucky.. maybe not.
He has asked me also to tan myself under the sun for 15 minutes everyday for 2 months (but not between 9 am to 3 pm). He did warn that it will look very nasty in the begining but that will stimulate the pigmentation process.
I have read that I am not suppose to go under the sun after reading through the various websites and postings. Should I go under the sun? Secondly, instead of going under the sun, can I apply sun-tan lotion instead?

Hi, Sundancer.
Sounds like you have a wonderful doc. He is a "keeper"!
What do you think the 9-3 prohibition is for? The way he has described it he has covered all the bases for your best results.
Let us know how you do. The hardest part (unless you are impatient) has already been done.

I almost forgot:
Now is the time for you to create the habit of buffing to prevent recurrence.
