I've been dealing with TV for almost 8 years now. My condition covers my entire back, and creeps up my chest and around my armpits. At its worst, the fungi was starting to poke its way out from under my shirt. I don't have medical insurance, so I haven't ever seen a doctor, but Dr. Stoll's site helped me to identify what I have and learn about how to treat it. Now, through the infomation I found on this site, I've almost perfected a routine that keeps the fungus away. In the shower, I turn up the water a little hotter than normal to start off. I rinse all affected areas with soap first, and then apply selsun blue with aloe (keeps the skin from drying out). I let it sit for maybe 5 minutes and then scrub the entire area while washing out the scrub brush every few seconds. When I get out of the shower, I dry myself vigorously. When I first started this, I applied Lamisil immediately after drying until the fungus disappeared. Now as long as I stick to this simple regiment (I went a week without doing it awhile ago and could see a few small areas on my back returning) the fungus stays away. The suggested method of sleeping in a granny nightie rubbed down in selenum sulfide shampoo is nearly impossible.. its frustrating, dirty and only seems to make the condition worse. That is because leaving the shampoo on your body for so long actually works against your pores and doesn't allow your skin to breathe. If you stay up on your skin buffing and don't overuse the Lamisil, you will show results. I tried a ton of different remedies (the nightie, pumice buffing, Lamisil sprays/creams...) but this seems to be the cheapest and most effective.

Thanks, Andy.
You are following the general principles for combatting this condition! I am glad to see that you seem to have found YOUR formula. Other failures should consider following your success trail.
I would be interested in hearing of anyone else who has success with your protocol.
