Cut on lip

I have a very small cut on my lip about a quarter of an inch long. I've put tape on it to hold it together, but it will not heal. What can I do about it?

Hi, Ben.

If you have to "hold it together" it was deep enough to need stitches. Because the lips are so mobile there is no way a butterfly can be used here. NOW, it will have to be excised and stitched properly. The longer you wait, the wider the excision will need to be and, eventually only reconstructive plastic surgery would suffice.

Get thee to the plastic surgeon!
