keloid

hi,
I have a very large keloid on the top of my ear as a result of having my ear peirced. Its is very unattractive and my doctor says he can cut it off but chances are it will return.
Could anyone help me if you have any information on how i can remove it, i am getting married soon and i would love to wear my hair up but i can't if its still there.

Another complication of the current FAD of "piercing". My suggestion would be to be happy with hair styles that cover your ear and use your scar to let kids, wanting to pierce everything in sight, know what can happen.
