I have been visiting this board for a few weeks now. I
looked for info on skin discoloration but did not find
anything that matched my case.
I am 28 years old Asian female and I have been
noticing that my chin area and above my mouth (and
cheek folds) are much darker than the rest of the face. I
have stopped using sun blocks on my face due to
allergy. My face got darker in general but why some part
my face got even darker, I don't know. What can I do?

I have a friend who's face did the same thing. Hers was caused by the hormone changes caused by her birth control pills.

Hi, Ann.
Listen to BarbaraN.
The most common cause of this is pregnancy or BC pills.
It is called Chloasma Gravidarum. Look it up in a good, color, dermatology atlas and see if it is not as you describe. If it is not, look at the rest of the pictures and see if you can find a closer match.
Let us know what you learn.
