Dark circles are a "Early Warning Sign" of Kidney problems because you're not drinking the required 8 to 10 glasses of pure water (not coffee, tea or soda pop) everyday. * Rick *

Our family has the dreaded dark circles.
Could heredity play a part here too?
Just curious because I HATE being told I look tired when I'm actually refreshed.
Thanks Rick ;)

I have to agree with Rick, when my Children do not get
enough water they get that, and I start making them drink more water and they go away.

Dark circles underneath the eyes can definitely be hereditary. My grandfather on my mother's side (from Spain) had them and now all three of us (me, my bro and sis) have them. We get sleep, water and only one of us really suffers from allergies. I just use some concealer and take my vitamins. :-) Not a huge deal.

Drinking more water is one very good thing and the other is that you might have an allergy to some foods you are eating that is causing it; Dark circles can also be caused by an accumulation of toxins that are built up in the body, sometimes even from air pollutions; Having air filters in car and in house can really help at times; I know that when people have book out in the country at our ranch in Texas and there in the clean air and eating healthy all there dark circles go away;

Dark circles are viewed by clinical ecologists as "allergic shiners".
