jaw trauma

I had a blunt force injury (big dog nose upward, my jaw downward colided) anywho, other than a fat lip, I didn't think much of it. The next day I had a bad earache, terrible jaw pain below the right ear and could hardly open my mouth without a loud popping noise. I took Advil, but the third day the pain was just as bad only now my neck and right side of my face hurt up through my eye. Is this a common progression for healing? Is there something I can do to speed this up? I'm tired of applesauce. Thanks

We are intuitive Kinesiologist not doctors;
We felt you needed first some Oxygen therapy for the injury to heal; Also using magnet therapy is very benificial;

At Columbia University's Orthopedic Hospital of the Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City, Dr. Andrew Bassett, one of America's most noted researchers in magnetic and electric therapies, has achieved dramatic results using electric therapy for hip joint injuries or breaks. He has used electrically induced magnetic fields to cause regrowth of tissue, nerve, bone, and blood supply. An FDA evaluation of his work showed that approximately 85% of these hip injury patients would have needed hip replacement without the therapy.

Hi, A.

Listen to Terri-Lynn-Virgil for one option.

MY suggestion would be that you were on the verge of TMJ and the bump with the doggie just pushed you over the edge.

At this early stage, you could probably stop it with a Rolfer or a total body, deep, therapeutic massage 3 times a week for 2 weeks (while you become aware that you tend to keep your jaws clenched--and stop the habit).

Let us know how you do.

Walt
