tmj and yeast infections, fungus

Posted by Dianna on February 17, 1999 at 16:37:38:

Recently Iwas diagnosed with tmj by 2 separate doctors...since I have read everything I can get my hands on concerning this disease and related diseases...i understand the stress related factors and they certainly apply to me since I own my own business and such. I was directed to a dentist for a mouth guard although I do not grind the teeth but "set my jaw". I've used that everynight with no dent in the pain so far. If it weren't for the fact that there are days no one enters my office and I couldn't set behind my desk and "do nothing" some days I wouldn't be employed, due to the pain. In the research that I have done I am curious as to whether there is info connecting yeast infections or fungus to tmj. I am very healthy except for this condition but since the tmj I am noticing an increase in yeast infections and now have a fungus on my right large toe due to a common fungus my doctor says. I have always thought that things that occur with you health may be related but people usually consider each event separately. Could there be any truth to the yeast and tmj connection ? I have tried to cross reference all the information I have and really can't find anything. I just find it strange that all of a sudden I have unbearable jaw pain on days and now have a yeast infection and now a toenail fungus. Please, if anyone has any ideas forward them.

Thank you for the help.

Just one other note..recently we remodeled our bathroom due to long term hidden water damage and found lots of mold...since my asthma has worsened and these other conditions appeared.... any connection do you think. When I am aware for the weekend I have no pain at all. I've wondered if this is due to something in the house or if I am just taking a break and can relax better. It is a definite pattern however.

Dear Dianna,

You either need to spend a few hours gleaning the archives & recent BB about these subjects OR, if you want to do it quicker, get a copy of my book and read it. ALL of your conditions are related and, until you make THAT concept a part of your thinkiung, you will continue to struggle. Also use the articles on the homepage of this 'site.

You are still focussing on the trees when you need to be seeing the forest.

THEN, if you still have questions, write again.

Walt
