Spider Veins

Posted by M.Nicholas on September 01, 1998 at 11:08:30:

Dear Dr. Stoll,
I wonder if you could give me some advice please,
I'm only 25 yet I seem to be developing dark blue spider veins beneath my eyes.
I do have a habit of teeth touching, something which I've read about on a few posts here before and was wondering if that might in some was be the cause of it, I also suffer from stress quite badly. It seems odd, I'd like to be able to reverse or at least stop this. Is there any advice/medication you could recommend?
Thanks ever so much,
M.Nicholas

Dear M.,

Break the habit of the "teeth touching" & you will already be far along on reversing this. Unfortunately breaking that habit is hard without eliminating the total body bracing that is almost always behind the teeth touching.

ALSO, total-body bracing is also the most common cause of LGS which is the cause of more than 95% of environmental hypersensitivities (the second most common cause of the dark areas under your eyes).

The regular practice of skilled relaxation is the only thing we yet know of that will eliminate both of these mechanisms.

Don't stop learning.

Walt
