Attn. Walt/Vinegar treatment for foot fungus

Hi Walt,

Have been using the distilled vinegar treatment for nail fungus for awhile now. I am lookin forward to the day when those nails are clear!

I also have had athlete's foot but every time I used an anti-fungal, the itching and burning got much worse. I must be allergic to something in it. Then I started to put the vinegar between the toes when I was treating the nails. It burned quite a bit on the open cracks but my feet have healed about 95% in two weeks. The worst spot just has a little further to go. I have no more itching or burning at all.

Do you know if anyone else has tried this and gotten good results? I am SO PLEASED as athelete's foot has been a bugaboo for me for 15 years. Nothing else has worked like this!

Makes me wonder -- has anyone ever tested vinegar on candida? How about as a douche/enema/and internally? Do you think it would have any effect? Just a thought--

Kathy

Thanks Kathy-

I have two kids with athletes foot and have been attempting to get them to use vinegar. Maybe this will spur them on.

Thanks again. Helen

I too was using vinegar to treat my nail fungus but discovered that it was eliminating my athlete's foot as well. And my athlete's foot was nasty, so nasty it gives me the chills just thinking about them.

The trick is to dry your foot completely after soaking you feet in vinegar. The feet must be completey dry. The point is to have the acidity of the vinegar stay on the skin without the wetness of the vinegar.

But yes, vinegar does cure athlete's foot, and in record time.

Hi Fernando,

You are so right about drying the feet thoroughly. Another little trick I learned along the way is to use a hair dryer to make sure feet are truly dry. Just be careful not to burn yourself!

Kathy-

Yes that's true, but the smell is not very nice.

When you use the hair dryer you get those vinegar fumes going, and yuk! I couldn't stand them, but yes, you are absolutely right.

Thanks, Kathy.

One other person on this BB has mentioned that the vinegar helped the athlete's foot. Perhaps I will be able to begin mentioning it too?

Properly administered vinegar douches are VERY effective against chronic candida. See the note about what this IS on this BB a few days ago.

I don't know about the enema, etc.

Thanks, Fernando.

I am glad you mentioned about the drying since moisture helps keep the fungus growing.

Perhaps I will have to start teling people to try the vinegar for skin fungus as well.

Walt

Yes, Kathy, "Hooked on Vinegar Worked For Me!" Another athlete's foot case bites the dust.

I've got a dime sized patch on one calf that won't go away. I'll give vinegar a shot - lotrisone (sp?) has helped but hasn't gotten rid of it. Once a day for 4 weeks, is that about right?

Hi, Lincoln.

"A dime sized patch on one calf that won't go away" sounds like "numular eczema" and NOT a fungus.

Have you had a biopsy diagnosis?

Walt

>Have you had a biopsy diagnosis?<

No. It's not troublesome and it does respond for a few days at a stretch to anti-fungal treatments. Cortisone (cortisol? sp?) did nothing.
What is "numular eczema"? Sounds like something a dermatologist does to calculate out his boat payments. Ma always wanted me to be a skin doctor. She said their patients never get well, never die, and never call you at 4 in the morning.
Can this excema be 'cured'? Or will I be banished to a numular eczema colony to live out the rest of my remaining miserable days with others of my ilk?

Hi, Lincoln.

Cute!

Numular eczema is a VERY mild kind of eczema that usually never spreads beyond the coin-shaped (by the way that is where the name comes from) spot. It is a very early indication of internal immunological changes.

Without dealing with the internal causes, it is almost impossible to resolve.

It is not catching so you don't get to be "banished" (grin).

Walt

Thanks for the clarification!

I did some searching on the Internet for "numular eczema" without much luck, even on eczema pages. I did find one interesting commercial page that seemed to blame most eczema on Candida fungus. They said a lot of the same things about it you do here, talking about LGS and fungus die-off symptoms, etc.
