If you put the vinegar all over the nail, wouldn't it look better faster? What keeps the old fungus from infecting the new nail that's growing out below it?
I've been doing the regimen for a few months now, and I see lots of improvement due to the fact that my nails grow very fast (they always have), but somehow it doesn't add up in my head.

Each day the nail that grows, incorporates a little of the vinegar inside the cell. Since nail tissue is dead, just like hair tissue, the vinegar stays in the nail tissue until it is clipped off. That is what prevents the fungus from growing into that nail.
