Does Lamisil work?

Posted by jimm on August 13, 1999 at 03:31:41:

Hi, Dr. Stoll,
I am taking Lamisil 250mg for a month. However, I did
not see any progress on my fungus toes, even few spots
of skin are still peeling and itchy on my feet. I call
my dermatology doctor. She can not see me until a month
after. Lamisil is expensive so I hope to know how the
toes and skin will be after one month of taking Lamisil.
Also, can I drop vinegar to my fungus toes while I am
taking Lamisil? Thank you for your answer!!

Dear jimm,

You need to take the time to learn about your toes. Use the archives for their intended purpose. See the link I have prepared for you below.

THEN, if you still have questions, write again.

ALL toenail remedies do NOTHING about the fungus already present since the nail tissue is dead! They ALL have to be taken until the entire old nail has grown out (occasionaly as long as 2 years--average of 6-12 months).

No problem with using the vinegar with the Lamasil but why do it? The vinegar will work at least as well as the Lamasil. Perhaps you have someone in your family in the pharmacy business (grin)?

Walt
