You use distilled vinegar from the grocery store. Be careful of what kind of infection you have. I tried tea tree oil and vinegar and get bacterial infections from it...puffiness and oozing fluid on the skin surrounding the nail. If you get this, stop the treatment.

Liz,
See the toenail archives for the exact protocol and let us know what you learn.

The vinager treatment could not be more cheap or simple. I will explain it to you because I feel so blessed to have cured my own toenail that I just want to help anyone I can. First of all -----IT REALLY DOES WORK!!!!
YOU HAVE TO HAVE PATIENCE AND YOU MUST BE DILIGENT AND NEVER MISS A DOSE!!!
- Go to the grocery store and but regular plain old 4 or 5% acetate vinager. The kind people make salad dressing out of or clean with.
- I use an empty eye dropper bottle to fill my vinager in.
- Every 12 hours ( I do it 8:00am and 8:00pm give or take an hour or two) drop 2 drops of the vinager onto the base (cuticle) of the infected toes or fingers. Rub it in. THAT'S ALL.
*****It will take 2 or 3 months to even see the remotest of results. Any tissue you have that is infected is dead and cannot be fixed---it has to grow off with the new re-infected tissue pushing it up and off the nailbed. When it starts to grow in youwill see it coming up from the cuticle. It taked 6 months to a year to grow a toenail off ecspecially a big toe.
For women take off all nailpolish!!!! Sounds awful I know but fungus love to hide under the polish and the vinager will not get into your new nail tissue if blocked by the polish.
Hope I have helped---GOOD LUCK---I promise you it will work!
