Foot Fungus and nail polish

I have foot fungus on my big toenails and pinky toenails, but luckily I discovered this site and will start using the vinegar method tomorrow! I saw in an earlier post that we shouldn't wear nail polish because it locks in moisture. The thing is that I am a Floridian, and sandals and other open-toed shoes are a staple this time of year. Since my toes are usually exposed in the spring and summer (my feet are actually very pretty, besides the toenails...lol), I keep my toes painted for fear of embarrassment. My question is are there any polishes that are safe to use and that won't inhibit the effectiveness of the vinegar?

My Aunt tried the vinegar for about six weeks straight and there was'nt any difference, but she was using regular vinegar, maybe it needs to be organic.

I think Dr. Stoll said that you wont see new nail growth until a few months have passed.

Hi, I am a cosmotologist and learned that you should NEVER aply the polish to the whole nail. You should keep som of the white moon free of it. that will allow the nail to breath. A little V shape actually looks pritty

Thanks, Ursula.

Great idea. This is where the nail is still alive and could be developing the most resistance to any fungal incursion.
