can anyone help?

Can any help me, my 3 1/2 year old son suddenly was
hysterical 3 days ago, saying, "mommy, the house is
falling, the house is rolling over, the floor is going up,
up, up, it is a roller coaster". Also, combined with the
continuous question of "what's that noise?" I will ask
him what it sounds like, he says like the "buzzer on the
oven". After finally seeing a pediatric neurologist, he
was very fast to say two things he has benign endemic
vertigo or vestibulitis (spelled right?) with the
conclusion of no antibiotics and he said it should go
away in two weeks. Today I noticed now he will not even
walk around becuase he is scared the floor is going to
"roll" again. It is heartbreaking to see him just sit there.
Also, the confusing part to me is, if he is dizzy, I do not
see him stumble or lose his balance. After looking up
on the internet I could not find either one of those
diagnosis that he stated, so I called him he said look
up labrynthitis. Since my son is only 3 1/2 it seems very
difficult to get exact symptoms from him. I am now very
confused why there is no antibiotics, I do not see him
dizzy, yet what he says sounds like he is. No other
physical symptoms are there, they checked his ears
and said they look fine, but it is the inner ear that is
inflamed. How did this start? Can someone help me,
does this sound right? Please email me at
michelle@evan-moor.com as I am unable to get to the
interenet often. I would appreciate any advice.
