Hi, Michelle.

Your doc's diagnosis is correct as is his treatment--so far as it goes. Antibiotics could not possibly do anything good for this.

The suggestion of a Chiropractor is a good one and so is seeing a Cranial Osteopath. See the archives for the latter.

Let us know how how does. This is terribly disturbing for even an adult. Just think how bad it must be for a child this age. If this ever recurrs, you need to look into reactions to environmental toxins (see a good Clinical Ecologist).

Vertigo: A person suffering from Vertig may feel that he or she is sinking or falling and/or that the room and objects in it are spinning around, this is a normal response. Causes can be brain tumors, high or low blood pressure, allergies, head injuries, inadequate oxygen to the brain, anemia, viral infections, the use of certain drugs, nutritional deficiences, psychological stress, pinched blood vessels in the neck or blockage in the ear. B vit. is good for this and ginger. Certain activities like sailing, watching action movies, amusement rides and virtual-reality video games may bring on vertigo or dizziness.
Hope this information adds some light to assist you!
