Ever notice how our pets make us feel so calm, relaxed and at peace with the world and ourselves? How they can tell when we are down or not ourselves and come to the rescue. A taste of unconditional love. They are good for our heart, our BP, lowering of our stress levels etc. I kind of wonder what effect do we have on them? Do we also have such a profound effect on the giving of love to our pets too, does it influence their health in the same way? Its such a different kind of love exchange than from a human. So non judgemental in their affection, just allowing you to be all you are as one of Gods creations and loving u anyway. That was my experience yesterday. Sitting outside, the softness of the green grass under my brown legs, the wind rustling through my long hair, caressing my face, the scent of mother nature filling me, with the sun streaming down on my skin, basking in all its warmth and healing power.Shadow, my new best friend, a black cat that haunts these parts, was by my side. He purred up against me, rubbed his soft silky fur against me, circled me tenderly, brushing up against my back as he did, and meooooooooowed! His yellow/green eyes staring at me, and piercing in their intensity, like He was trying to tell me something, like more, I want more cuddles, his eyes said to me. :) A most affectionate, mischevious cat.It felt so healing and much needed. Such healing power in these creatures. Like all was so right with the world, and problems seemed to vanish in the haze, albeit temporarily, but what a nice reprieve from "reality". Just what the doctor ordered.

I'm sure you are right, and I'm sure that it works both ways. If animals are loved and cherished their fur is beautiful, and they are calm and happy. I am lucky enough to share my life with five cats and a border collie, and we have strong bonds between us. We are all the better for it!

Thanks, Miss & Sue.
A wise man once said that an indication of how civilized an individual is is how she treats the lesser animals.
Your notes have helped me though my day.
Namaste`
