So I waited a few days to make sure that the Apple Cider Vinegar was going to do the trick. For the first day or two my little dog's ears were beautiful. I continued the treatments for a few nights. The next morning of the last treatment, his ears were all red and infected again.
1. It may have been taking some time to get fully better. In other words, things sometimes have to get worse before they get better.
or
2. It just didn't have the lasting results that I have heard about. At least I didn't get that lucky.
So I was in Petsmart the other day getting some new clipper guards for grooming. I just happened to look over at the ear cleaners and things.
I saw a product called Veterinarian's Best Natural Care, Ear Relief Wash & Dry. It was $15. I figured what the heck. I will just see if it works.
It is a 2-step solution for ear problems and is all natural. It included an ear washer and an ear dryer.
So we are on day 5 and this stuff really works.
The first day the ears stayed a little red. I was a little worried that it may not work, but I stuck it out.
On day two, the ears were no longer red. There was a crust forming around the outer part of the ear. I cleaned the ears with the solution and most of the crust came out. I then took his hairbrush and I brushed the ends of his ears. Most of the remaining crust came off then as well.
On day three, there was no more yeast smell, but more crust.
On day four, still no more smell and very little crust.
I skipped days 5-7 just to see if it was going to work.
On day 5 of treatment, there is no smell, no redness, and no crust.
I think I have finally solved the problem!
Ingredients include:
Clove Oil
Aloe Vera
Tea Tree Oil
Silica
Chamomile
Echinacea
I really believe that the Ear Relief Dry is what did the trick. It just dried his ears out and has kept the infection away.
This dog owner is happy!

HI HOPE, I WORK FOR A DOG GROOMER AND MY DAUGHTER IS A DOG GROOMER . YOU WOULDNT BELIEVE THE DOGS THAT COME IN WITH BAD EARS. YEASTY SMELLING ETC, ESPECIALLY COCKER SPANIELS THEY ARE THE WORSE FOR BAD EARS BUT, WHAT MY DAUGHTER DOES TO KEEP THE EARS FROM GETTING REINFECTED IS TAKE THE HAIR OUT OF THE EARS AND LET ME TELL YOU IT WORKS AND THEN YOU CAN CLEAN THEM WITH RUBBING ALCHAHOL OR VINEGAR THE RUBBING ALCHAHOL KILLS ANYTHING IN THERE. SOME DOGS LOVE GETTTING THE HAIR OUT OF THEIR EARS AND OTHERS HATE IT.. WHAT KIND OF DOG DO YOU HAVE? I WOULD JUST WIPE THEM OUT EVERY DAY. YOU CAN TELL IF ITS WAX OR YEAST INFECTION JUST BY THE LOOKS OF THE STUFF INSIDE AND THE SMELL. I HOPE WHAT YOUR DOING KEEPS HELPING YOUR DOG.. I FEEL SORRY FOR THEM WHEN THEY HAVE THIS.. GOOD LUCK

Hi Ann,
Thank you.
He gets his ears plucked once a month and I used the vinegar and many other things with no progress :(
I guess I am just one of the unlucky ones.
This seems to be working well though so that is good :)

No problem Lauren :)
I really hope that it works as well. His ears are really gorgeous after so many attempts at natural remedies.
I will definitely keep you updated and hope that you will let me know how yours does too :)
Let me know if you need anymore information :)
Oh I think you were the one who asked me about the vinegar treatments. Sorry that I didn't know that they wouldn't work for very long before :(
