Walt - preventing stroke - related eye problem

Hi, Walt. I'm so happy to see you back here. A relative of mine in serious need of wellness has confided a problem to me. She is in her early 50's, history of migraines, non-smoker, some insomnia, history of some pericarditis last year. She describes her problem as follows:

"About my eyes -
It happened again last night. I was walking from a lighted room into a more dimly lit room and it was kind of like a light gray camera lens started closing around my eyes from the outside edges inward. It never completely closed, but the gray "circle" surrounding my eyes stayed in place for several (15-20) seconds.
The eye doctor said that my eyes are fine so I should tell my physician about it and ask her to have the blood flow at the back of my neck area checked. He said it could be a warning sign of stroke, although he did say that if it had only happened a couple of times with no other symptoms, it probably wasn't that."

I'm very concerned about her and wondered what you thought of the eye doctor's assessment, and also what is the most important thing you would advise her to do first to improve her health. Thanks in advance.

June

Thanks, June.

The chances are that you said the most likely solution in your first sentence. Having already been checked out, the most likely cause is living too close to the edge of her ability to handle shronic stress-effect overload and serious wellness is her best solution.

Let us know what she is willing to learn and how she does.

Walt
