I haven't posted for awhile, I have been doing real well. In the past I had posted about achey joints, costochondritis, and bakers cyst. I bought Walts book, read it three times, and I am proud to say I have had no problems with costochondritis in well over 2 years, no achey joints except when I over exert myself and the bakers cyst is still there but has NOT 'ballooned' in almost 5 years!!! I have been doing wellness for the past 2 years and doing great. But I do have one problem. It's bowel troubles. I'm close to 50 and not sure if my colon/intestines are becoming sluggish. Foods do affect them but that's not too bad, this is tolerable. I'm just careful what I eat. For the past few months I have been dealing with straining to have a bowel movement almost everyday. Most days the stool is semi soft or hard. What irritates me is I will get the urge to have a BM, sit down and strain and go. Not much but I go. On other days I strain and its a normal BM. On the days when I don't go all that much I will eat or drink something hours later and get a slight urge and small hard stool comes out. At nighttime I will drink a lot of water of have a snack, again a slight urge, like pressure, strain a bit and another stool, usually about the size of a meatball, little smaller. I never feel I have totally emptied after the morning BM and I get tired of straining. Am I constipated? Oh one other thing, after a movement I have a terrible itsc, I think I may have a small hemmorhoid, it feels like theres a very small lump at the tip of my anus. I use Preparation H itch cream and it helps a lot. Mainly the itching is after a BM occasionally and sometimes the itch comes on fast when I'm just sitting here. I checked for parasites and saw nothing. Had a physical 3 months ago, no polyps, blood etc.. If anyone can help I will read all answers. Becca

Thanks, Becca.
Please explain EXACTLY your health program. In the meantime see the hemorrhoid archives and the home page protocol for "stool witholding" to begin resolving your bowel problems.

Thanks, Becca.
Have you certified that your yoga is producing the relaxation response? If so, how did you do that and how long have you been practicing whwtever works at least twice a day?
It seems to me that the most imporatnt aspect of this program is the very thing that you have been leaving out.
