Thanks for Dr. Stoll

Posted by Charles [2243.2810] on August 30, 2006 at 13:25:24:

I've been lurking on this bb for a few months now, and have purchased Dr. Stoll's book ("Recapture Your Health"). I'm now two months into my SR practice, and have started on a "liberal" whole foods diet (with hope to upgrade it to a "perfect" diet after my wedding in September). I've also got an appointment to see a biofeedback specialist near where I live this week to certify that I'm actually relaxing correctly. I'm fairly sure that I am, since I get a lot of the signs listed in Dr. Stoll's book, but figured it couldn't hurt.

I have been "mostly recovered" from my fibromyalgia for about six months now. I wasn't happy with "mostly" however, and I'm pleased to discover that a lot of my remaining symptoms (stiffness, easy fatigue, digestive problems) have show signs of improvement in even the short time I've been working with the 3LS. I think I'm a textbook case for the 3LS. My problems started with a long, anxiety-ridden work project that left me with horrible GERD, costocondritis (sp?) and fatigue. The real fibro symptoms started on soon after (muscle/joint pain, chronic fatigue, depression/anxiety, etc). I knew I had leaky gut the first time I read about (three years ago), and I definitely had Candida at that time. I had already been working with an ND for two years on those issues when I discovered this site and the 3LS. It really brings together all the ideas I've been reading about for the last few years and the focus on SR makes a lot of sense to me (and I think it's the key to my remaining issues, since I have the Leaky Gut mostly under control now).

This is mostly just a thank you to Dr. Stoll for all the great information he has made available. I'm enjoying the focus on wellness (instead of an endless battle with symptoms) that he encourages. I'll try to post my progress regularly so others can benefit as well.
